Many mornings when I enter my closet to select the outfit ‘du jour’, I haven’t a clue what to wear. I stand there for several minutes weighing my options and trying to reach a decision. I’m working remote these days, so it isn’t strictly necessary to ‘dress for success’. However, I’m fairly formal and always like to look my best. Today the decision was easy. I chose a beige knee-length skirt with embroidered trim, and a sleeveless brown shell. I like the skirt because it has classic styling — I’ll be able to wear it for years to come and it will remain fashionable. The waist is getting looser, which makes me feel good. I see less stomach flab under the shirt. Since it’s summer, I did not bother with stockings and wore a low-heeled brown sandals with a gold buckle. I also wore plain gold earrings and a minimum amount of make-up.
