Finally Making Money

by admin on Sep.29, 2009, under Uncategorized

The past week has been pretty crazy for me actually. I have been working on writing a lot more lately and have actually started bring in quite a bit of money from it. This is actually to the point to where I can afford things without even getting separate web design jobs that I usually have to do. It is good to do both though and have the extra income on the side so that I can do more of the things that I would like to do with my money. My band is doing really good and we have just been practicing and writing new music so that we are ready to record when late Fall/early winter comes around. I have had a few low points as well this past week. This is actually a good thing though because every time I get stuck in a rut and feel really down, it just means something needs to change for me that have stagnant. So I have come out of this past week feeling refreshed and with an even more positive look on my life’s direction.

Buying Real Estate is a tricky thing…

by author on Sep.28, 2009, under Uncategorized

Real estate is a tricky thing to understand. Sometimes houses go up in value, sometimes they decrease in value. These changes also seem to happen at the most random of times. The only true way of making things simple is by hiring a real estate agent that knows what he or she is doing.

There are very many different things that affect your house’s value. For example, let’s say you live relatively close to the beach as the crow flies. However, as there are no roads directly to the beach, it takes you about an hour to get to the beach. Now let’s say that the city decides to build a road right next to your house that connects directly to the beach and it makes the trip down to the beach only 20 minutes. What do you think is going to happen to the value of your house? It’s going to shoot up!

Not only do physical things affect the value of your house, people’s opinions also affect the value of your house. Say someone in the national news declares that your part of town is an extremely good place to live and that everyone should move down there. What’s going to happen to the value of the homes around you? They are going to shoot up! At the same time, if the news starts reporting all sorts of troubles around your area, your house is going to shoot down in value. Much of Boulder real estate has to do with whispers on the wind.

You, as a buyer of Boulder real estate, must know when the best time is for you to buy. Naturally, you are going to think that as prices go down you should buy. This may not be the case however! You never know when houses are going to continue to go down in value. So if you did buy a house early, you may have just lost yourself thousands of dollars. Talk to an expert. They’ll be able to assist you in buying your house at the best price!

Highlands Ranch Real Estate

by author on Sep.24, 2009, under Uncategorized

Real estate is much more than just a person owning a home. For a family, it can be the best investment that they’ll ever make. Not only can you make payments over a full 30 years, while you are paying off those little payments every month your house will go up in value. What does this equate to? It means that, over the course of those 30 years, you’ll be making free money!

To understand Highlands Ranch CO real estate, you first must understand how and why houses go up and down in value. There are many, many factors that contribute to a houses value. For example, let’s say that your house was originally out in the middle of the nowhere. You bought the house for around 100,000 dollars and you are happy. However, people start realizing that where your house is in an ideal spot for more houses. So people start building houses there. And with the houses comes business, fast food places, banks, etc. What happens to the value of your house? It’s going to go way up! You may not necessarily think that your situation has become more ideal than what it used to be, but the world likes your newly populated area much more than your old, in the middle of nowhere, house.

Location location location. That’s the key phrase that any real estate agent will keep repeating. If your house is located on the beach, your property is going to be worth a TON of money. Your house may not necessarily be all that fancy, but it will still be extremely expensive because of the location. You could buy thousands of acres out in the Midwest for the price that you are going to pay for half an acre on the beach. That’s just how it works!

If you are looking to buy a house, one of the best places to start is online. You’ll find that people sell their houses for less when they list them online as they are desperate to sell them. So find your house today!

My Kid’s First Tricycle

by admin on Sep.23, 2009, under Uncategorized

To my daughters second birth day I was planning to buy a tricycle for her. My wife and I went nearby shopping center and selected a blue color tricycle with additional features including horn, water spray etc. That’s time my wife had a call from his father and by accidentally came to know that they had already bought a tricycle for my daughter. I was disappointed that I couldn’t select one for my cute kid. My Father-in Law had presented that Tricycle as gift on her birthday. We put her on the cycle and moved it front and back. She didn’t know how to pedal or to hold the handle bar but she enjoyed that she was moving without help of her feet. `Children are very good learners’- she learnt within a week to use the handle bar and in two weeks to pedal. Daily she would spend at least 2 hours in her tricycle. She was moving to all the rooms and sometimes she will hit against something and eventually the object was broken in some cases. Though we lost some valuable objects we enjoyed our daughter’s growth. When my son was born my daughter taught his younger brother how to use the tricycle. It was amazing to see my daughter growing fast. Now she is 10years old and she has a bicycle.

The Unforgettable Singapore Experience

OverExposed: Singapore's Orchard Road Traffic

Once in my lifetime, I was given a chance to work in Singapore. It is one of the most developed countries in the world. I have seen its environment and I knew how was working there. It was hard working there at first but I managed it later until I finished the job for six months. I was assigned at the biggest and famous international bookstore located in Singapore. The name of the bookstore is BORDERS PTE LTD. It has two branches particularly located at Wheelock Place, Orchard Road and Parkway Parade. I worked at Parkway Parade. Five days of work was given to me per week. There were lots of things I did. Since it’s a bookstore, I shrink wrapped different kinds of books especially the big ones and the ones that contained small particles such as toys for kids. I also arranged books on the shelves. I made sure that it’s neat and clean and is arranged alphabetically according to the author. Another nice thing I did was serving all different kinds of customers. I helped them find a certain book that they wanted by searching it first on the computer and then searching it on the shelf. I rendered all important information to customers at the Information Counter. We had a storytelling session every Tuesday and I was one of the storytellers. So, I found it great to serve the little ones by telling them nice stories. Lastly, I helped customers during purchasing time by accepting their cash at the Cash Register. I had two off days and it helped me do other things like reading, spending time with friends, shopping or visiting some tourist spots in Singapore. I served at Borders Bookstore for about six months and I learned a lot of things. My work experience there is truly a treasure for me.

Ten Days on Gull Lake

by admin on Sep.18, 2009, under Uncategorized

My Cousin invited me on a vacation in Northern Minnesota’s Gull Lake in a one hundred year old resort nestled in the trees. We attended a cocktail party in the bar after we unpacked, and then to the main restaurant for the most fantastic buffet I have ever seen. There was a world class golf course on the resort as well as a spa. A breakfast buffet contained everything imaginable. The evening meal could be eaten in one of three restaurants on the resort. There were paths to walk on in the evening and both a beach area and indoor swimming pool. The resort had a complete exercise room. A bar on the beach had a wonderful atmosphere. My favorite place was the old fashioned brick walkway from the main building to the lake. It was lined with begonias in every color, and old fashioned lamp lights and benches.

“Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner”

by admin on Sep.15, 2009, under Uncategorized

One of my favorite movies of all time is Dirty Dancing. While the movie is set in a time period before I was born, it’s a movie that people of all ages can relate to and enjoy. The movie is entertaining, well done, and has something for everyone. The dancing is a lot of fun to watch, and I really enjoy the music in the movie as well. The story is a great one, and it’s a fun look on the golf club style of life that many people wouldn’t even think about. It’s an interesting contrast, between the rich families and the less well to do staff. I love the relationship between Baby and Johnny, how it develops and changes throughout the movie. There are some fun and interesting sub-plots, and the dancing scene at the end of the movie is one of my favorite scenes from a movie ever!

Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling – Great Books!

by admin on Sep.11, 2009, under Uncategorized

SAN FRANCISCO - JULY 19: A customer walks by ...

I would have to say that my favorite author is J.K. Rowling. I don’t know that I could choose a favorite book of hers from the Harry Potter series – they are all wonderful and so much fun to read! The beauty of her writing in these books is that they transport readers into an entirely new world. We get to learn new words and phrases, learn about new sports, spells, etc., and are transported into this great, fun place to be. While everything isn’t rosy and happy all the time in this new world, it’s still the kind of world that many of us would love to be a part of. Who wouldn’t love to fly on a broomstick or have a cape to make themselves invisible? The books are incredibly well written and well thought out, and the results of all of that are that the books are a joy to read. I have never regretted picking up the first Harry Potter book – they are good books, and they are especially wonderful when I’m having a bad day and want to “get away” for awhile – you can be transported just by opening one of the books!

Where Does Time Go

by admin on Sep.09, 2009, under Uncategorized

Today I got up at 7:30, made the bed, cleaned the bathroom, straightened up the other room and went downstairs. I made coffee, threw a load of dark clothes in the washer and separated the other clothes into white, towels and colors. While I was in the basement I sweep down the steps and the floor, change the litter box and cleaned the downstairs bathroom. When I went to the second floor the coffee was ready and I sat down and ate breakfast. After breakfast I took out the trash, loaded the dishwasher and cleaned corn on the cob for supper. I started to get lunch ready for my husband who comes home every day. When that was done I got dressed and took the cat to get his nails cut, came home dropped him off and then went to two banks, craft store and the grocery store. Came home unloaded the groceries, went and talked to a neighbor who I haven’s seen in a year. Then I cleaned some weeds in the yard, came in the house, started the potatoes for supper, and now I’m on the computer at its 2 o’clock. Then at 5 I will go to Aquacize for 1 hr. Home eat dinner at 7:30 watch television till 10:30 and go to bed.
